The idea for Sanctus Rehabilitation Care Foundation (SRCF) was born out of the founding team’s personal experience. The lack of services set us on a passionate course to make a difference.

We began our journey in July 2013 by training our first batch of Home Care Medical Attendants for home care services. We made Nursing and Physiotherapy available to seniors at their homes, at affordable prices. Since 2013 we have supported over 1000 elders and dependent patients with Stroke, Palliative care, post-surgical support for Total Knee Replacement, Total Hip Replacement, etc., and have been able to cross-subsidize care for individuals who need long-term care or those who are unable to afford the services.

In 2015, we received a significant grant from the Tata Trusts to continue and expand the scope of our activities. In October of 2015, we established an Elder Day Care and Physiotherapy Centre in Wanowarie and provided high quality support and rehabilitative care to seniors during the day, while also providing respite to their families.

In January of 2016, we partnered with Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Research and Training Institute (BARTI) Pune and Tata Institute of Social Sciences – School of Vocational Education (TISS-SVE) Mumbai for identifying and training students in nursing support and elder care. The students are later employed as Senior Citizen Support Assistants and Home Care Medical Assistants, who under the supervision of our medical team provide nursing and rehabilitative support to patients. Through our training we develop skilled work force and generate employment for those from the socially and economically weaker sections of society.

In November 2016, we started a Medical (OPD) Facility in Ramtekdi, an urban slum in Pune and began offering medical and physiotherapy support to elders of the community. Dental services are scheduled to commence in April, 2017. Besides the medical services, SRCF reaches out to the residents of the community by organizing various focussed health camps to improve the health of the community at large.

In January of 2017, we set up a dedicated Physiotherapy and Special Children Rehabilitation Centre at Jambhulkar Chowk in Wanowarie, Pune. The Centre supports the physical needs of adults and special children and offers Day Care services as well, to facilitate the rehabilitation process.

February of 2017 saw the establishment of Akanksha, our 24 hour Old Age Home and Assisted Living Facility in Baner. The Facility extends its’ services to independent elders looking for a supportive environment to enjoy their retired lives; seniors requiring assistance with their activities of daily living; and individuals requiring a higher level of medical support than maybe possible to provide at home.

SRCF constantly endeavours to provide quality, trained and supervised care and aims to reduce total costs of care - reducing the number of days in hospitals; better management of post hospitalization care to reduce re-hospitalization because of emergencies, etc. We focus on prevention, infection control, and identification of early warning signs and a reduction in re-hospitalizations. We follow medical protocols for patient management with proper documentation to monitor progress of our patients. We also provide, through our partners, medicines, surgicals and other products for use at discounted rates for buying or renting.

Our continuing mission is to look after maximum number of people and create a system of quality and affordable care.

Our vision is to provide the best supervised, personalized and appropriate care for patients to restore optimal health, independence, dignity and quality of life and make healthcare accessible to all.

  • We commit to serve maximum number of patients in a safe and cost-effective manner.

In pursuit of our Vision and Mission, we are guided by the following values embodied in SANCTUS:
S : Safety of Patient:
